ding ding ding We have a winner! How did you know? 😑
Of course, at the rate they're consolidating, we're all gonna be working for MGH soon enough.

I grew up with a trans girl 35 years ago. We knew from the moment this child could express preferences that something was up. I'm talking 18 months - 2 years old, this kid is playing with dolls and trying on mom's high heels and makeup.
Back then, none of us had ever heard of a transgender person and had no idea this was even a thing, so we just assumed she was a gay boy. When she finally learned that trans people existed when she was in high school and told her mom, "Hey I'm a girl," it was like the most face-palmingly obvious thing ever. Of COURSE that's what we'd been seeing literally her entire life.
If she were growing up today, she and everyone around her would have identified her correctly at a much earlier age.
I'm a nurse who uses 24-hr time at work and it's about 50/50 with me saying "fourteen hundred" or "2pm" when speaking. I generally find that my colleagues understand both and use both interchangeably.
"We"
I think YOU need to go meet some conservatives, because I have absolutely heard that exact terminology from some of my conservative relatives.
I thought I was gonna die of old age the one and only time I ever drove across Kansas.
Oh, so this is the asshole that keeps trying to kill me. Large, but not too bright sometimes.
WOW, as depressing as the news going into the second half of my life tends to be, I did not have "Maybe beat malaria" on my lifetime Bingo card. This is wonderful news
One of the big Boston hospitals tried to recruit me for their transplant team once. They wanted to pay me $15,000/year LESS for the privilege of commuting into Boston five days a week and paying for my own parking. Fuck that noise. I'll stay at my little community hospital, thanks. Prestige ain't gonna pay my mortgage.
doom even the strongest republic
Translation: If people we don't like are allowed to have nice things, we'll throw a temper tantrum and burn the house down.
Fucking perfect! Haha
Except it's threatening to delay my union vote at work. Our hospital corporation is deliberately stalling in hopes the government will shut down and the NLRB won't be available to oversee our vote. Our union is busy pushing NLRB to get it done already.
Actual regular people haven't accepted it as normal. Fascists in our country continue to hamstring any efforts to fix the situation because they want the rest of us to keep being reminded that the fascists can and will murder us at will. Standard issue stochastic terrorism.
