@Nuuskis @kde

I don't know. So you don't accidentally paste something you didn't intend to? No idea. Sounds like a good wishlist thing to post to

https://bugs.kde.org

I agree that pasting the selected item right away would make the feature even more useful.

@tun

Well... the clipboard manager is still necessary 😬 , except you don't have to go looking for it in the system tray or wherever you put it*.

And you can do everything without lifting your fingers off the keyboard!

* You can hide it and unclutter the tray!

My apologies. In no way was I trying to undermine your answer. I was trying to point out (maybe clumsily and untactfully) that Minecraft was not open source, so it did not fit the question. That is all.

@tibequadorian @kde@floss.social @PrismLauncher @kde@lemmy.kde.social

Agreed πŸ‘ . And most of the games you can play on Steam are also not open source, but read the question again: KDE is asking in this concrete case for more FLOSS software that you think deserves being boosted.

Minecraft is not free and open source software though.

Check out @Minetest. Apart from FLOSS, it is much more extensible, making it not only great for creating a wide variety of derivative games, but also a better educational and collaborative tool than Minecraft.

It's a treasure.

My vote goes to @Minetest (https://www.minetest.net/) and 0 A.D. (https://play0ad.com/) two criminally underrated games that deserve much more exposure.

@n1729

Fedora != KDE
Fedora KDE Spin != KDE

There is no proposal in KDE for abandoning X11.

Did you read the same blog post as me? Because that is not what that post is saying at all.

Th combination Wayland/KWin is killing it. We recently had Arjen Hiemstra showing how you can access a remote desktop:

https://quantumproductions.info/articles/2023-08/remote-desktop-using-rdp-protocol-plasma-wayland

Something that was seemingly destined to die with X11.

I think this is not the same. With Barrier you extend your desktop over several machines. This is you bring the desktop from a remote machine (say, from your office to your home) and work on it as if it were local.
