To be fair, their are in the Fediverse.

I always think we should have another community called Threadiverse for Lemmy, Kbin, Mbin, Lotide and soon Sublinks. Probably too late now as most people would prefer to stay here, but maybe at a later point we could.

Indeed, but there is no better option right now

Still waiting for you to show us that pro-reddit content in those communities, last time you used an !asklemmy thread

[–] Blaze 1 points 11 months ago

Hopefully those will come. Thread subscription would be nice indeed.

In the meantime, Lemmy is still usable, and I guess once Reddit will kill old.reddit, RES will stop working anyway.

So while there’s more of a push from the top to make mastodon.social the flagship, from the grassroots there’s very much a push against it (I’m loosely a voice in that might self).

That's good. I still think that having the developers pushing or not for an instance makes a different, wasn't Mastodon 40% Mastodon.social at some point?

Indeed, I mentioned this to OP as well in his post on !newcommunities@lemmy.world a few days ago

Just remembered there is also this add-on to help you subscribe to communities in your own instance while browsing another one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lemmy-instance-assistant/

Definitely not the best experience ever

I use "New comments" for this

To each their own. Recently, the issue with lemmy.ml defederating ani.social shows that those issues are still very present today.

Hello everyone,

As discussed on the other thread (https://discuss.online/post/4573496), here is the laid back community for Europeans!

Feel free to share any ideas you would have for the logo, and banner, the sidebar and the community in general!

Hello everyone, I've followed this thread yesterday and noticed a few very negative reactions towards the choice of Java. I follow Java evolution from far away, but it seemed like it was evolving in a good direction since the last few years, and that performance-wise it would make sense for the back-end of a Lemmy-like platform.

Is it indeed the case? I was just curious to see that much negativity towards one of the most popular languages.

Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you for your good work on this instance. I was wondering, do you know when you plan to move to 19.3? I noticed some federation issues (especially votes), it's not a big deal but it would be nice to see them fixed.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

I really enjoyed !esp@eslemmy.es, but it has been down for a while, so I created !esp@lemm.ee. The idea is just to have a space to talk about anything in Spanish.

-- Hola a todos,

Realmente disfruté !esp@eslemmy.es, pero ha estado caído por un tiempo, así que creé !esp@lemm.ee. La idea es simplemente tener un espacio para hablar de cualquier cosa en español.
