Curious to know how the authorities found out this individual owns XMR and by how much..from seized electronics maybe?

What OpSec are you employing for your holdings safety should there be a raid on your property etc?

If they had enough evidence to convict him without the XMR, they could have offered a plea deal that included surrendering his seed phrase.
