We found this bright red squishy ball thing along the beach, had to dig a bit to get it out. Tried googling it but couldn’t find anything, what is it?

Something like a Beadlet anemone? Wrong location but if you google that anemone out of water it looks a bit like it?

Strawberry Anemone?

Hey OP, could you edit your post title to add [SOLVED] at the end? Thanks!

Are you sure that's organic? That looks like a rubberized knob/handle that's broken off of something.

Definitely felt organic, it was more open at the top when we first saw it and then it started closing up

It looks like an old dog toy. If you had to dig it out, then you probably know what it feels like. What's the texture, rubbery? Spongy?

It’s spread out at the bottom and gripping the rocks, definitely felt organic. At first I thought it was a kong chew toy but it’s no where near as rubbery
