heyo! :3 I made a post some time ago asking about the same thing but I kinda forgot about it for like 4 months >v< One of the admins said she'd look into it but I didnt get a response

Some people in other instances have animated pfps and banners but when I try to use a gif it shows the broken image icon and apparently its converted to .webm

okieee no probs! :3 it works if I use a .webp btw! :D but yeh I guess its not supposed to convert gifs to webp so I'll DM u these two posts :3

It's probably animated webp.

:O yeh webp worksss!!! Im pretty sure I tried that 4 months ago and it didnt work but it does now! :3

edit: ohhh actually I tried webm that time! cuz when I made the other post the gifs were being converted to webm but now its webp but they still dont work after being converted

Well I think pict.rs converts everything to webp, and I guess it deletes animations so you have to do it yourself?

Ohh yeh I guess thats it, so I guess the problem is it breaks animated gifs after being converted instead of properly converting it or at least making them a static image
