No an overly helpful suggestion maybe, but I used to look for servers hosting the cars service manual whenever I had issues. But that was in the early 2010s, so not sure where to look for them now.
Worth looking into, thanks. Or maybe some forums come to think of it
Check out 4:30 in this video and see if that looks like what you have. Seems DLR is a self contained assembly that is replaced as a whole unit.
Nada but thanks. It looks like that from the outside but it isnβt. I searched for the correct parts on rock auto and it looks like the housing gotta be removed
Does your headlight work juat daytime Running Light is not? on my Honda it is same bulb just has dual wattage modes
Just the drl. I think im gonna see if the module can be taken out tonight.
The LED 'U' shaped accent light in the passenger side headlamp assembly of my 2017 Golf went out a few years ago, causing an error that disabled the headlight turning feature. It is not repairable so I had to get a new assembly. Fortunately, it happened right before my warranty finished and was covered.
Back in the 90ies my uncle always got a book for the car hee owned which would explain how to disassemble it.
But me and my dad never bothered with the book, just got to work on it and figured it out on the go. The biggest thing I replaced in my car was the whole Chassis.
But yeah in the new cars there is less mechanical stuff and more electronics so it's getting difficult.
The only place I can think off was YouTube, or if you can find a book like my uncle always had: https://onlymanuals.com/volkswagen/passat/volkswagen_passat_b3_workshop_manual_passat_b3
