I wanna know how you got 16k songs on a second gen nano

[–] kadu@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Easy! Encode your songs as crispy 8 Kbps MP3 files

Iflash.xyz have everything you need for iPod classics and iPod minis, the mini is just my fav, I had one when I was a kid and now I have another (well, 3) now I'm in my 30s

You can upgrade them with flash storage pretty easily.

eBay. Lots of people putting high stage flash drives in old iPod models. 128gb and up

[–] lexd0g@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

just do it yourself, it's super easy, only takes a cheap adapter you can get on ebay or from iflash and like 15 minutes of time, i used this guide to put a spare 32gb in a mini i bought and it was reaaaaally easy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GY761U4vik

that's a mini, they use tiny microdrives inside, they're tiny HDDs in the form factor of a compactflash card, you can very easily replace them with a compactflash to SD adapter and put a shit ton of storage in them

I remember the first time I saw an iPod. I really did think technology was over.

Wow, big ol' nostalgia hit right there.

I preferred my Creative Zen Touch.

Loved my Zen Micro so much. Was a sad day when it finally died, but then I got a Zune, which was incredibly excellent.

That's awesome man, I love kz iems

These are my first pair. I only got them a couple of weeks ago, purely to be used with my iPod.

It's insane how good they are for the price, even more so when you compare them to wireless buds that cost Β£150

I miss the brick game and music quiz game

anyone else remember Vortex?

[–] BlovedMadman@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Music quiz with 16k songs is a real test.

I remember downloading this song (it was a bonus track on certain versions of the album) and it was called "Expert Knowledge" and I always thought that was a better title.

iPod choice, 100. Music choice... I don't know... 20?

I still have my Sansa Clip+. I should go see if it still works. I remember I rooted that thing too lol.
