A community for your defence shitposting needs

Rules

1. Be niceDo not make personal attacks against each other, call for violence against anyone, or intentionally antagonize people in the comment sections.

2. Explain incorrect defense articles and takes

If you want to post a non-credible take, it must be from a "credible" source (news article, politician, or military leader) and must have a comment laying out exactly why it's non-credible. Low-hanging fruit such as random Twitter and YouTube comments belong in the Matrix chat.

3. Content must be relevant

Posts must be about military hardware or international security/defense. This is not the page to fawn over Youtube personalities, simp over political leaders, or discuss other areas of international policy.

4. No racism / hatespeech

No slurs. No advocating for the killing of people or insulting them based on physical, religious, or ideological traits.

5. No politics

We don't care if you're Republican, Democrat, Socialist, Stalinist, Baathist, or some other hot mess. Leave it at the door. This applies to comments as well.

6. No seriousposting

We don't want your uncut war footage, fundraisers, credible news articles, or other such things. The world is already serious enough as it is.

7. No classified material

Classified ‘western’ information is off limits regardless of how "open source" and "easy to find" it is.

8. Source artwork

If you use somebody's art in your post or as your post, the OP must provide a direct link to the art's source in the comment section, or a good reason why this was not possible (such as the artist deleting their account). The source should be a place that the artist themselves uploaded the art. A booru is not a source. A watermark is not a source.

9. No low-effort posts

No egregiously low effort posts. E.g. screenshots, recent reposts, simple reaction & template memes, and images with the punchline in the title. Put these in weekly Matrix chat instead.

10. Don't get us banned

No brigading or harassing other communities. Do not post memes with a "haha people that I hate died… haha" punchline or violating the sh.itjust.works rules (below). This includes content illegal in Canada.

11. No misinformation

NCD exists to make fun of misinformation, not to spread it. Make outlandish claims, but if your take doesn’t show signs of satire or exaggeration it will be removed. Misleading content may result in a ban. Regardless of source, don’t post obvious propaganda or fake news. Double-check facts and don't be an idiot.

TFW you call a guy who idolized the Nazis enough to name his mercenaries "Wagner group" in their honor and recruited Nazis, psychopaths, and even cannibals for that group, "the chosen one".

Rest in piss prigozhan.

Wonder if the swastika tattoo on his skin looked like a helicopter when he was falling through the skies.

[–] gregorum@lemm.ee 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I wonder if it burned like hitler in the crash

[–] pastermil@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I thought Hitler killed himself.

They burned the body and threw the ashes in a river so no one would run around with bone relics.

[–] Franzia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 17 points 1 year ago

Also they were/are moving away from Ukraine to go do war crimes 24/7 in Africa

he was on a plane that crashed in Russia today, possibly because it collided with a a2a missile.

[–] Zoidsberg@lemmy.ca 19 points 1 year ago (2 children)

collided with a a2a missile

I didn't shoot him, officer. His body just collided with my bullet.

It really sounds like the newspeak russian media uses. Like, the explosions are called "loud claps", helicopter crashes have been called "hard landing" etc

[–] aSingularFemboyHooter@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm just going to launch missiles in this direction, if you get hit, that's your fault!

[–] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 36 points 1 year ago

I wanted the conscripts to take Moscow, then shoot both those soulless bastards in the face.

Fuck that guy for being unquestionably a Nazi, and fuck Putin for everything else. Putler wants to eliminate the Nazis from Ukraine by employing Nazis to do it. Russian citizens wtf?

this is how they serve a legal summons now in lovely Russia.. Trump gets booked in Fulton County.. Yevgeny gets a couple of SAMs..

[–] pastermil@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

it says a lot when you consider a neo-nazi mercenary leader as a chosen one, even jokingly...

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Anakin was pretty fashy...

[–] pastermil@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

Anakin was a troubled young man exploited by his opponent. Even as a villain he stood by his principle.

I can't say the same context apply to fucking Wagner leaders.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 11 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Bruh, what?

If his principles are repeated genocide, installing fascist dictators, choking his pregnant wife, violating every rule of war, training child soldiers, and just straight up ignoring that the Jedi aren't as strict as he pretends, including multiple Masters with wives and Corellian Jedi straight up having kids raised in the temple thanks to the canonization of Corran Horn, then, yeah.

I guess he stood by his principles. That he shares with Nazis.

[–] squaresinger@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago

His principles of murdering children? I think Wagner's leaders fall in line.

[–] skillissuer@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

he was chosen, by SAM operator, along with his entire plane

lol, lmao even

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 9 points 1 year ago

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy

[–] Maddison@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 year ago

Plane probably committed suicide

[–] BingoBangoBongo@midwest.social 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What if he faked his own death to escape putin

[–] Maddison@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean, he would probably have to plant his dead body in the plane too. I mean, improbable, but it's Russia, so not impossible.

[–] squaresinger@feddit.de 1 points 1 year ago

Tbh, we only have the russians words for it that he was identified.

(I do believe he was dead and that the russians did it, just saying, there is no real evidence)

[–] qaz@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

This is the true non-credible content I'm here for
