I'm getting this error when attempting to post a comment. Anyone else experiencing this?

Could be that you may have unselected tuis option? (I opened it in my browser)

Hmm. Let's see.

Test comment?!

Ok so I think it was the language setting on my own Lemmy instance. I set it to only English but that was giving the error when trying to post over here to lemmy.world.

I reset it to all languages and the error went away.

I'm testing, too. Was having the same problem earlier.

I made an account on an instance other than lemmy.world and my user experience has been greatly improved. It was after getting this error that I finally decided to do it. I was having major issues with loading, voting, and commenting prior to making the new account. I think that lemmy.world must be overwhelmed with users right now.

same here. saw this error at first and then just a generic "error trying to post, try again". could not get it to work... posting via my instance's webui worked, but only after selecting a post language. is that something communities/instances can enforce?

I got the same error briefly trying to comment. Bizarrely, I could comment immediately before and after in response to other threads.

Ahh weird. I thought maybe it had to do with the language settings on my Lemmy instance. Not sure though.

I had the issue a few minutes ago, when replying to a new post (original post was from Kbin instance). I added two languages on Lemmy’s settings (because I’m bilingual) and the error was still appearing.

The workaround was to go directly into Lemmy and make the comment from there, selecting the language from the drop-down option. It would be great if Voyager would let us set a default value for comments or better yet, the toggle within the comment.

Edit: this comment worked as expected, so maybe it’s an issue with posts outside Lemmy.world?
