It needs to have a 0* tier with Clinton, Reagan, Grant, Harding, and maybe a couple others. And then the huge gulf and then Trump up top.

[–] dual_sport_dork@lemmy.world 32 points 5 months ago

Nixon, also.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 11 points 5 months ago

Andrew Johnson was the only President before Clinton to be successfully impeached. And if there was anyone who fucking deserved it...

Well Nixon accepted a pardon therefore he's guilty by definition. So he should be at least at number two.

[–] OldWoodFrame@lemm.ee 27 points 5 months ago

There were 3 articles of impeachment drafted against him so that's probably the number to go with. Never got tried in the Senate because he resigned, never got prosecuted because he was pardoned.

However...the pardon was for "any crimes he might have committed" and per Burdick v United States an accepted pardon is a confession of guilt so technically Nixon has confessed to an unlimited number of crimes.

Guilty of a felony yes, but technically not convicted

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

That's why I said put him at two.

Needs to have a non-felony conviction spot for U. S. Grant.

For a second I thought you were making an anti-biden post. With the (unfounded) implication being that Biden should be next to trump. Then I looked, and he's not at the bottom either. They only have 44 total. Biden would be 46. So one other president is missing too.

[–] Wilzax@lemmy.world 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

One person was president twice, nonconsecutively. Grover Cleveland was both the 22nd and 24th presidents of the united states.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Forgot about that. He needs two pictures, and I can't decide which is funnier. Using the same picture twice with Benjamin Harrison in between them (not that these seem to be in correct order)

OR two different pictures.

Same picture, but with Groucho Marx glasses sloppily edited on?

Yeah I can't detect how they're sorted here, for a minute I was thinking "alphabetically by first name? Andrew Jackson is before Barack Obama, but no there's no George section..."

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Instead of referring to him as 45 I'm just going to call him 34.

Eisenhower could stand to be knocked down a peg.

What did he ever do for America? What, because he was instrumental in the alied victory in Europe, spearheaded the national highway system and oversaw desegregation that he deserves some kind of medal?!

[–] Burninator05@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

That's all well and good but what has he done for the US lately?

[–] absentbird@lemm.ee 5 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Apparently so.
Eisenhower receiving medal

[–] xantoxis@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago

Well it wasn't for lack of trying on the others' part.

Just find a list of us presidents?

[–] Zehzin@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

It's just all of them. We need to do a war crime tier list

[–] FreudianCafe@lemmy.ml 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Everyone is S tier, and theres SS tier for the 2 bombs in japan

[–] Zehzin@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I dunno I think the two Bushes and Reagan deserve a higher score than the average. Selling illegal arms to Iran to buy cocaine from Nicaraguan fascist militias is a pro gamer move like no other.

[–] sudo42@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago

Can we replace Trump's picture with the one from his booking? He seems rather proud of that one.

[–] LilDumpy@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Is there a way to compare this to a similar chart, but with number of impeachments instead of felonies?

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Trump 2, Clinton 1, and someone in the 1800s 1.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

Johnson was the other one.

[–] julianh@lemm.ee 6 points 5 months ago

Spiders Georg

[–] einlander@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

C-C-Combo Breaker!

[–] TheControlled@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I'm basking in this as much as everyone but it isn't like many of the other presidents didn't do worse things and or were even worse people.

Those things being corruption, human rights abuses, and genocides.

Trump is guilty of, and has been accused of, dismantling democracy and being a corrupt piece of shit.

But don't let me spoil the fun 😁

Noted: LGBT rainbow pride graph chart for further rage induction.

[–] RagingRobot@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

I read that as LBJ and was wondering what he had to do with rainbows lol

[–] masquenox@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

Yet all of them were war criminals.
