I feel like I prefer my saved list to be private. Also I can’t seem to get confirmation on if up and down votes are public or not.

I've saved this post to check that. Can you see it on my profile? I checked in a private window & I can't see saved posts when signed out, but I don't know if being signed in may make a difference.

As to up/down votes, I don't see anywhere on profiles where one can see those, so I don't think those are being shown to anyone else.

I can go to your profile and click on "Saved," but it shows me my saved posts, not whatever yours were.

I see similar with yours (& OP's), so it seems maybe another odd quirk of Lemmy for the time being. Maybe a placeholder for a future functionality, should folks want to make some of their saved posts public (since current functionality on others' profiles doesn't...really make a ton of sense).

This is what was happening to me. Good to know but yeah very weirdly laid out.

I don't have a link to the GitHub issue, but I know this is a bug that has been acknowledged and is being worked on.

I love the fact we can look up open bugs and their status, and even pull the code down and make changes if we so choose. Open source is awesome!
