I like this kind of pictures. Someone should come up with a name for them. Here's few similar kind of ones:

These broke my brain for longer than I'd like to admit.

Maybe split-view pictures?

[–] JackFrostNCola@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

Or Fractional composition scenes?

Too bad about all of that HDR...

Not their fault, they had just finished an unscheduled nuclear test nearby.

Funny, I am getting uncomfortable looking at the picture. It looks so unnatural. 😬

That's the same URL. If it doesn't work in the post link (and it doesn't) it isn't going to work in a comment (and it doesn't.)

The Netherlands. I couldn't tell you which canal but the river boat cruises go down this.

Looks like Amsterdam Rijnkanaal in the province Utrecht

It is, come by here pretty often - and can guarantee it is not AI - but just a good picture of our super systematic infrastructure

More specifically I'm almost certain it's the bit after you pass Weesp.

[–] Resol@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I wanna go to Utrecht too now, just to see that specific street and take a picture of it.

[–] Drummyralf@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

As a Dutch guy, I just thought: Hey, a random rural street. These kind of views all over the place in the Netherlands.

That looks like a mid 2000s meme.

As a Dutch guy, it is hilarious to read how many people thought this was fake. I've seen these types of roads so many times. Very common in The Netherlands. Discussions made me appreciate the work all our tree carers do to maintain safe roads.

Still, a beautiful and smart picture.
