Was out on a drive earlier and this song came on. I think it's the first time I've heard it in at least 5 or 6 years, maybe longer.

Also, completely forgot how awesome the video for it is.

Lol. I love that Tenacious D is in this.

Ha, yeah.

The first time I saw the video for this song, I wasn't familiar with Tenacious D nor had I seen the movie Airplane!. So much of it was lost on me 😆

Dave drummed on all of the D’s studio albums.

And he (much later) played the devil in Pick of Destiny.

I just saw an old interview recently where the interviewer was sharing how they were always so touched by the deep symbolism of flight and freedom and light mixed with dark and then Dave was just like, "I wrote it when I was planning to get my pilot's license."

Edit: It was Kelly Clarkson.

I love that. lol

Specifically, when that happens to critics; they invent a whole ethos and message, and the artist is just like "What? I just wanted an ice cream cone."

Edit: Just saw the Clarkson interview video you added. She practically died inside. Oh man. lol.

Taylor Hawkins in this video made a young me ask himself some questions.
