Hi folks, I'm looking to join a game over zoom/google meet. Any recommendations of sites or discord servers where I could find a good group? Fyi I haven't played in like 20 years, so still kind of a noob to playing online.

Roll20 had tons of games last I checked, both D&D (several different editions) and dozens of other ttrpgs. Has a lot of great features such as a robust "find a game" system, built in dice roller, unlimited free character sheets and more. Literally can't recommend it enough!

Try browsing dnd discord servers on Disboard. That's how I did it.

There are a ton of Facebook groups too for finding online games. Although most use discord rather than zoom/Google meet. I run games on Discord using various vtts such as foundry and tabletop simulator. There's a lot to pick from.

Yeah I'm not sure I'll enjoy myself if it's just like typing in a discord server, I guess I could give it a try. At the least I'd need some audio.

Discord also does group calls, with or without video. In a server, a 'channel' can be a voice channel instead of a text channel, or you can start calls directly with people.
