Am I the only one who doesn't want to go on vacation? I'll take the time off work, but I'd rather potter around my place, maybe go for some nice walks

You don't have to go far to have a nice trip somewhere. You could literally go on foot. Yeah some people do it just for the 'gram, but actually, meeting new different cultures always is a very enriching experience. Putting yourself into unusual situations is a very enriching experience. Don't miss out on this pleasure in life.
Nah. One of my coworkers stays home for every vacation and reads. We try to guess how many books she'll read during her week off each time. Closest guess, without going over, wins. She loves it and crowns a winner each time she returns, but the winner only gets bragging rights until her next vacation.
A few years ago I was at a gas station pumping fuel on a trip, while prices were extremely high, and I was thinking to myself that her way is certainly much less expensive.
I like vacations where I just go exist somewhere else. Plan a few outings, sure, go to some nice restaurants, but otherwise I just want to relax with no itinerary. The best vacations are ones where I don't have to look at the clock.
Why would I post anything about it? It's my vacation and I would be drinking too much to even bother posting about it.
I might even catch up on my planning and research (as a teacher it's a treat to actually develop as a teacher when there's time).
By statistics alone, we know that if not her then at least many other people think this way these days.
I'm going to probably be going on a healthcare "vacation" next month where that's a likely scenario, so I'll let you all know how it goes.
in a heartbeat.
The problem is that there is no clear definition of a post. Sure, a tweet or an Instagram is a post. A private message to a friend is probably not a post. But what if you send images of your vacation in a discord server with many friends? The line gets fishy, and if I couldn't talk to friends, independently to the trip itself, while on vacation, I would also say no.
Agreed but I think the intent is still interesting. My interpretation would be that you can still talk to friends, but not about the vacation. Id still say yes but I'm curious if that changes it for you.
The more simplified question would be just not bringing your phone or a camera, but then id say no as that just sounds like a dangerous trap and isn't really what the question is trying to ask- it's more 'would you go on a vacation and just enjoy it, or do you only want to go on vacation so people know you went? '
_Take my phone, please! _
Does posting exclude texting to group chats?
Cuz I tend to do a lot of that. Don't really do social media (this barely counts), prefer to spend time with a select few gay nerds.
