The A series has been my go-to for my past 2 phones so as long as they don't fuck with it, I'll probably stick with it.

Yeah I got the A53 I think it's called last black Friday for like $300 and it's the best phone I've ever had. It's fast and responsive and has a 120hz screen that looks great.

I'm confused what's in the new phones that make them cost $1700 more... I'm sure they are better for gaming and maybe doing some photo/video editing with a much better camera but is that worth $1700 more?

Nothing. Like obviously they may be using higher quality/more expensive/licensed components and are superior in some areas, but in terms of actually getting what you paid for the really expensive ones are not value for money in the slightest. These manufacturers are 100% taking advantage of consumers when they price their phones so high. There are some examples like Fairphone where you can see how the cost has been inflated (smaller company, more expensive supply chain, paying workers a higher wage, etc) but in the case of a massive company like Samsung the markup will be insanely high.

Better CPU and camera.

YSK there are plenty of other fishes in the water.

People who recommend other devices usually don't take the UI into account.

That's the main reason why I put forward a suggestion. Used a S series phone for about a year. The OneUI is really bloated.

A masterclass in terrible branding. Consumers are stupid. You need to clearly identify your product tiers.

Its a lost cause, the new A line even in isolation was never "clean". With the 4G and 5G Versions often having very different specs and outlier phones like the A52s being better in every metric to both the A72 and A53. Not to mention that the A0 phones are always a mess with the Core, E and S variants.
