Currently there is a lot of functionality that in theory does not require an account, although Voyager still prompts you to create one.

Whilst I now have one, I initially intended not to.

Either way, there are a good amount of features that could be adjusted to fit guest / offline accounts, including:

  • Changing the guest instance
  • Allow saving posts locally as guest (not synced, ofc)
  • Allow changing subscriptions as guest (there's already some in guest view anyways, I figured being able to change them would be nice)

It would be a cool niche to grab, serving the needs of the unsigned-in.

You can change the guest instance. In the pick a server menu, after selecting a server, hit the hamburger menu on the top right and select connect as guest. Then you will browse as a guest with the selected instance as the home server

It would be nice to be a guest on a different instance, see a sub you want to subscribe to, and be able to subscribe to it on one of your logged in instances.
