I know a little bit of lore, but not a whole lot (I just listen to lore channels at work lol). But the question occurred to me upon thinking about midichlorians. I recall hearing somewhere they connect to blood cells, but I know I'm losing my mind so maybe I just made that up somewhere

Check out this thread. Basically no because they are modeled after mitochondria, that sit in every cell of your body and blood will be recycled way too quickly and the count will be low.

Dooku tried it on Grievous but it didn't work.

Also quote: Book Of Sith, Page 132, by Darth Plagueis: "a simple blood transfusion is the obvious answer, but I have found that the subject’s native midi-chlorians will reject the influx of foreign cells"

But I think I hazily remember some legends or video game lore including clones where it did work, but it had very negative side effects.

I think if you wanted it to work you would have to use stem cells, organ transplants or some way to inject them into every cell like a virus. And then perhaps give some drugs to suppress the rejection.

No. Midichlorians react to the presence of Force Sensitivity in living beings, but they are not the cause of it.

The Force is the Force. It is omnipresent in all things, both animate and inanimate, but biological beings are unique in that they form a kind of symbiotic relationship with it.

The midichlorians are present in the cells of Force Sensitive beings because they just really like being close to such a powerful conduit. if they were forcibly moved elsewhere, you would still not be able to feel the Force and your own cells would replace them over time anyway.

The force is definitely more than just the mechanics of biology. I can't imagine a blood transfusion does anything. It shouldn't connect you to the force any more than chopping off a Jedi's arm and waving it around would.

And there are loads of inanimate objects strongly connected to the force: holocrons, kyber crystals, whatever materials are used to construct and paint Jedi temples, etc. Droids are too.

I personally feel a non midichlorian body would reject the blood as if it were the wrong blood type.

If it were possible you would probably have seen it happen on the sith side already. Making storm troopers force sensitive is a bonus I don't think they would pass up.

I sort of assumed it wouldn't work, since the Force being exclusive is a main conceit of the universe; but I never knew why or if there was a solid answer.
