Looks great! Did you use any finishing?

Thanks! No the wood isn’t treated in any way
Is this wood you've harvested yourself? Hopefully it's been dried for awhile or kiln treated so you don't get bugs coming out if it
Looks very nice! How is it stabilized from falling over?
Thanks! There is one anker point at the top with an dowel in the wall. The rest is fairly stable as one piece
Lovely rustic piece. Have you done anything to stabilize the larger cracks?
Thanks, yes there is a very thin sheet of plywood attached at the bottom of each disk. The disks themselves where completely dried before of course
Very good. I was worried that you had made a rookie mistake and was going to have a shelf run a rummage sale on your floor one day. The plywood may not be enough if it is like a veneer, so check on it a few times a year. Worst case, you get to learn how to do a bowtie in a few years.
What do you mean it isn't perfect? It looks great!
Ahh, thanks!
Looks awesome! As a hobbyist wood worker myself, I've come to enjoy the imperfections that come with hand built items. It gives them personality.
Yes that's true, and I think at least in this case the imperfections are acceptable because the desired look was to feature the organic look of the wood. At least it's a good excuse for the lack of woodworking skills
Wow this mde me jealous! Great work 🌻
Thanks :)
Awesome, especially the wire hiding aspect.
Nice! Have you considered adding a stain and protective finish to the flat parts of the shelves?
The surface is very rough as we don't have the right tools to achieve a smooth finish. As it is very rustic we just leave it as
