It took me a while to realise this because by the time I learned about Debian they were already well into the secondary characters.
My favorite part remains naming the unstable release "sid".

The name Debian comes from the original creator, Ian Murdock, and his wife Debra.
Debian sid makes so much sense now
Cool that someone put the pictures together. I knew they were named after Toy Story characters, but as someone who's only watched the movie once or twice, I didn't know all the minor characters, and never bothered to look them up.
How did I not notice this. Lol
This has been the case since Debian was launched, decades ago.
