Not just a girls best friend.

I'm a guy and I'd kill for a functional housing market lol

[โ€“] AstralWeekends@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

Just had my first experience losing an offer to house flippers who waived inspections, yayyyyy!

Wanting to be a home owner is just the first step in the gender transition process for a person born as a male

somewhere between soc dem and communist

i have a list of issues that i want fixed, and whether that happens by achieving communist utopia or just properly regulated capitalism isnt that important to me

[โ€“] erre@feddit.win 22 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Hilariously posted in the wrong thread I believe. ๐Ÿ˜„

[โ€“] Lols@lemm.ee 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

i have no clue how this happened

It's a bug. You can start a reply in a given thread, the URL stays the same but the page content changes to something unrelated. So when you post the comment it goes to the wrong thread.

For me I tend to see the wrong post sometimes when I go to an old Lemmy tab after being on different Lemmy tabs. If I hit refresh then I'll get my original post back, but then half the time I go and find the mysterious post because I want to read it now I got a taste.

Top comment of the pooping post had the same situation happen. It's actually a feature, not a bug ๐Ÿ˜…

Fundamental rights

Am a woman. Girl's best friends, in no particular order: IUD, my own bank account, vibrator.

[โ€“] a_statistician@lemmy.ml 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

My 2yo has a shirt that says "dinos are a girls best friend". I have to say, I could get behind that. Other top contenders: clothing with decent size pockets, dogs, and snacks.

[โ€“] ItsaB3AR@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago

Pockets would make my gf so happy.

[โ€“] G59@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Functional pockets, probably.

[โ€“] Karlos_Cantana@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 year ago

I think you nailed it! I'm not a girl, so I didn't realize the lack of functional pockets until my daughters started complaining about it. Now I find myself looking for pockets in women's clothing. They are very hard to find.

It was marketing bs. Pretty sure it hasn't changed.

What is the Modern Girlโ€™s Best friend?

GIven the original context (increased financial security): a job.

[โ€“] vanillabear@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Probably the smartphone

[โ€“] plum@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Either cats or a vibrator.

[โ€“] CmdrShepard@lemmy.one 6 points 1 year ago (3 children)

But definitely not vibrating cats.

[โ€“] SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago

~~But~~ definitely ~~not~~ vibrating cats.

[โ€“] Karlos_Cantana@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 year ago

A vibrating pussy?

How else do you describe a cat while it's purring, then?

[โ€“] shua_too@midwest.social 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Like a womanizer, absolutely

Whatever the influencers are pushing this week.

[โ€“] OtakuAltair@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Probably cats, understandably

[โ€“] IntheMesh@lemmy.fmhy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Demons.

(I feel like i have to clarify, so just in case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhK2ev_O-pc)

[โ€“] MarsRT@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm not very in tune with the girl market :nerd: but I would probably say her phone. Buy her a Galaxy Z Flip 4 and she will love you for life (not guaranteed)

[โ€“] Jamie@jamie.moe 1 points 1 year ago

As someone whose girlfriend is in love with her Flip 4, yeah I'd call that an accurate statement.

I didn't buy it for her though, she just kinda did it.

[โ€“] heartlessevil@lemmy.one 1 points 1 year ago

Well diamonds are forever so presumably still diamonds.
