I think you shouldn't. I agree with stop using Reddit, but your comments are indexed in Google and they could be useful for other people. Their business model is based on ads, stop visiting the site will be enough.

exactly. reddit wants to be a doomscrolling site, not an archive of information. if they said "we're deleting all comments older than 6 months", there'd be an uproar, but for some reason everyone seems hell bent on doing that
honestly with youtube, reddit, and maybe twitter all losing information like this, we're going full library of alexandria (slight hyperbole)
Looks like there's a github for a python script called Shreddit that overwrites all the characters in a comment before deleting it. I haven't used it personally, but it seems like an automated way of doing what you're looking for.
I used Redact but I am sure there are other similar options.
I used redact to edit every post and comment Iโd ever made to โfuck /u/spezโ
I know itโs childish but it cheered me up a bit lol
Type reddit.com in your web browser's search bar to go to the Reddit website. After opening Reddit's main page, click your profile picture in the upper-right corner to bring up the drop-down menu. Click User Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the delete account section and click Delete Account.
I thought doing that didn't actually delete your comments and posts. Am I wrong?

As far as I know, the account is completely deleted after some time.
I did hear some people say the posts will come back, but not sure if that is true. Personally I will be removing comments before the delete.
