If they just mean you won't have to create a new account, that's a pretty low bar. I've never been impressed with Nintendo's online support, but wow, this is pretty weak news.

- News oriented content (general reviews, previews or retrospectives allowed).
- Broad discussion posts (preferably not only about a specific game).
- No humor/memes etc..
- No affiliate links
- No advertising.
- No clickbait, editorialized, sensational titles. State the game in question in the title. No all caps.
- No self promotion.
- No duplicate posts, newer post will be deleted unless there is more discussion in one of the posts.
- No politics.
Comments.
- No personal attacks.
- Obey instance rules.
- No low effort comments(one or two words, emoji etc..)
- Please use spoiler tags for spoilers.
My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

Kinda funny the fanfare if this is it. I agree, Nintendo has always had a low bar in this area. It's a good thing still.
Sounds good. But the real question is what happens to all of the games we bought? I don't want to deal with another e-shop closure and lose all of the games I paid for.
Nintendo would love to force you to rebuy those games for each console you own. Question here is do you stir up drama or do you ~~double~~ ~~triple~~ quadruple dip?
Should have been a thing since the Wii. It would be cool if Switch games were playable on the next console, too.
