Did he have a wife? I wonder what her name was.

[–] sjmarf@sh.itjust.works 4 points 10 months ago

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

That guy invented the salad?

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 16 points 10 months ago (2 children)

To think this guy was one of the most terrifying people of his time, and he looks like Danny DiVitto.

I guess as far as warlords are concerned…. He’s in good company. Maybe someone should do a study on the correlation of bullying and plots of world domination…

I mean napoleon couldn’t get away from the short jokes, for example.

I mean... those glasses on his face look awfully modern too...

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

Thick frames like that? Positively ancient!

[–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago (1 children)

It’s because he had short legs and the jokes had long legs. It was quite impossible to outrun when every 5 of his steps equaled 1 of the jokes steps.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

the irony is he wasn't particularly short. slighty above average.

I wonder what Alexander the Great got made fun of for?

[–] Darkard@lemmy.world 14 points 10 months ago

Possum tibi offerre ovum in hoc tempore conatur?

Gail the Snail: Hey Jules, I'm giving this guy a handjob under the table.

Brutus: She's mashing it.

[–] radio_free_asgarthr@hexbear.net 9 points 10 months ago

Don't listen to that Frank, it's a bunch of Optimate bullshit.

[–] therealjcdenton@lemmy.zip 5 points 10 months ago
