The biggest thing here is the impact to education. Being in EdTechbive lost a lot of respect for Google as they’ve mercilessly killed valuable projects that we have all been happy to pay for, but they quickly drop it like an uninterested child with a new toy.
What tools interested you? My mom's a teacher and I've been thinking of ways to address her pain points with some simple web tools....someday, hopefully soon.
The title is a bit misleading, the summary on the article makes it clear that YouTube kids functionality is being rolled into the main app rather than being its own thing.
That's alright. I've already taught my kid how to pirate anything she wants.
Yeah, turns out moderating user generated content to guarantee it being safe for children is expensive.
Guess kids are doing to have to be happy with Pregnant Elsa Spiderman Joker Grocery Store Abortions.
So it looks like they're rolling it into the main app like Google play movies. No big deal. Although, they were pushing me to use the YT kids app not too long ago.
Add another tombstone to the cemetery.
Of course they are? They’re still pushing it as I saw a recommendation for it a day or so ago.
