A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.

The thumbail does not animate. It's worth clicking through to the animated GIF. This short clip is one of the most spectacular things I've ever seen from space.

For those like me who hadn't seen this before, this time lapse gif was recorded in 2014. The Rosetta spacecraft had a fascinating, 12 year long mission to get this imagery.
