The CBC has joined other news broadcasters and publishers in requesting Canada's Competition Bureau to investigate Meta's decision to block news content on its digital platforms in Canada.

I'm extremely down in Facemeta. But no one is entitled to the services of another person/entity (without a contract/agreement).

You can require payment, that's fine. But you can't require they use or carry your service.

Also, and maybe I have conflating something else, but isn't the block because of some other canadian law where they would have to pay for the articles if they showed on their site or some such. So the block was to comply with a law???
