"nearly" - not much of an article and zero numbers/stats at all, so... 30%? 35%? less?

not sure how this is politics related either.

Drawing on a study produced by the Becker Friedman Institute for Economics at the University of Chicago, Pagaduan reported that 53 percent of the sheltered unhoused population and 40 percent of the unsheltered unhoused population were employed either part- or full-time from 2011 to 2018.

Literally the second sentence of the article.

I mean given that poverty is entirely a political choice, it fits. Every one of these people have been failed by our political system, how is that not related to politics?
