Scientists develop game-changing vaccine against Lyme disease ticks::Researchers have developed a way to vaccinate people such that the ticks that cause Lyme disease cannot be colonized by the bacteria that cause the disease.

I've had Lyme disease three times. I also live in the woods.

It would be great to never get it again.

Kind of an odd second order vaccination. You get vaccinated but can still catch Lyme. it would prevent the tick carrying Lyme in the future though, at least that's how I understood it.

Seems like more than most vaccines this one's effectiveness depends on the whole community being vaccinated...
