Playing it later also has the benefit of more fixed bugs.

MODERATORS
TheVerge.com called the story "ho-hum" in their review. The whole purpose of Final Fantasy has always been the story! They would have mediocre graphics for their time, mid battle systems, but the stories are what made them legendary.
Now they have great graphics, apparently a good battle system, and a so-so story? This might be unpopular: but I think they strayed from their lane and I'll be skipping this one.
I took a quick peek over the summaries on Metacritic and the biggest criticism seems to be "too many fetch quests." As someone who suffered through the run-up to Titan in FF14, I am prepared to eat my fetch quest vegetables to get to my setpiece explosion dessert. I have trained for this.
