I'm on lemmy.ml, which is currently on 18.3 rc.5. And I'm getting the quote > escaped.

0.18.3 is bringing in more sanitization, probably got missed.

I poked them and they're working on a fix

Update: fix is in and should be in the next rc. It does work ( built my personal backend from source)

I'm on lemmy.ml, and looking at this whole post through both the default web UI and alexandrite ... no quotation is working and all "source"s show >. Even using backticks on a greater than symbol will be rendered, I think, as

`>`
