Give us Code Veronica, dammit. You can't ignore it forever. You'll eventually come down to CV or Survivor, and there's only one right choice.

Code Veronica is exactly the kind of game that needs to be remade. It has important lore for the whole series, but it suffers from being a bit too... of it's era
It'll be racoon city stories 7 disc remake, first.
I would love an ideal CV remake, but I fear that it would end up as a "be careful what you wish for" situation. I just don't see them going all out for CV, it just doesn't have the name appeal of mainline titles, so I think the most probable outcome would be an extremely limited game like RE3 remake. I would love if they proved me wrong however
It's a reasonable fear, but I feel like it has enough renown for them to be worried about a backlash like 3 got. I know it's not the most popular, but it's been popping up more and more in the conversation when REmakes get brought up.
Outbreak is my fear for "Yeah, let's shit this out real quick" treatment. As much as I would love to see it get some real attention with the hardware we have now, I can't see it getting any real work put in. Especially after the travesty that was the last MP offering.
Oh Outbreak would 100% end up bastardized at least to a degree. It's a cash cow waiting for them to realize its milking potential, and if it ever got remade it would be done with that as the first priority and with making a good game second. That's definitely a case for a remake that in an ideal world would be bananas but in the real world... Yeah most probably not.
With that said, I do have to admit that if the game was good enough to balance the cash-grabiness I would still dabble in it. Outbreak has never really had any games that fully compared to it in like two decades and the withdrawal is real.
Square Enix meanwhile focused on only re-doing some Final Fantasy games while I'm just waiting for a remake of the original Dues Ex.

Probably because those are their best selling title games. ... Why are you shocked that they put them before Doos Equis.
I didn't say I was shocked. I know I'm a niche audience. A guy can have hopes and dreams, man.
Just finished up my first playthrough of re4 and immediately started a second play. That's how you remake a game. I just wish they had started the remakes with the first, since we got 2,3, and 4
I've replayed RE2R AND RE4R to death, they are awesome!
RE1 was technically remade back in the day. It'd be cool to see it in 3rd person, but what they have now is pretty great.
When they get to 5 they will likely remake the lost in nightmares DLC which starts in the mansion. Or it will be done before 5 to reuse in the DLC
At that point it would make financial sense to do it so it's inevitable.
would love a Dino Crisis remake someday!
