Pretty brief article. Glass and metal recycling work great, because those materials can be recycled affordably and endlessly with no reduction in quality. Plastic recycling is the one that's bullshit, and the companies who make plastic know this very well, and they knew it in the first place. You can't just melt plastic down and make more of the same plastic. The plastic and packaging industries intentionally misled the public to make people think "oh, I can use this plastic with no guilt because it will be recycled".

The companies even went as far as putting a logo on the plastic that looks exactly like the recycle logo, but all it indicates is what kind of plastic it is. This is pure deceit and should be outlawed immediately and fine/jail everyone responsible.
