Yesss, linguistic isolates. It's so odd that there's no sign of Basque's relatives anywhere in the vicinity; it's not like the Basque country itself is isolated (even if it is mountainous, it's not that mountainous.) Somehow you'd just expect that there'd be some other survivors from the language family
