Looking to get some merino shirts for traveling but all of them seem quite pricey. Not opposed to that if it's worth it (and made ethically, like I think...unbound? in Australia?) but seeing what everyone's preferences are.

Costco usually has a couple options during camping season and winter. $20 to $25. You have to grab them when you see them, and the stock can be erratic.

REI house brand wool is well made and reasonably priced (compared to Icebreaker).

Naadam’s $75 sweater is an amazing deal for the price.

I have an REI close. Might go check those out.

Just to check - are you looking for male or female models?

Definitely should clarify- male. I would say probably any style- crew, v-neck, button down, henley, etc.

Decathlon's Forclaz Hiking T-shirt Travel 100 has been a pleasant surprise for 35 CAD. 70% wool and 30% acrylic. We'll see how durable it will be.
