yea this genre of billboard isn't even rare

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

It is where I am because I'm fortunate enough to live somewhere people realized our natural resources are an asset so you can't have billboards.

It's not rare in the parts of America that should sink into the mantle though.

[–] the_kid@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago (3 children)

do other countries have billboards?

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago

They have billboards but they're generally ads for actual products and not a plea to not smoke meth and molest your daughter or saying that Satan rules America because we're murdering innocent babies.

[–] mar_k@hexbear.net 11 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

In most of the EU at least, generally not on roadways I believe. Definitely banned on roadways in my mom's country. In countries where they are more common, it's all stuff like [car brand], [museum/landmark near you], [tv network], [unoffensive mainstream political ad], a lot of which is still annoying but preferable to [strip joint at exit], [call shady lawyer now], [repent or burn], [i'm mclovin' it]

The billboards in this photo would be unthinkable anywhere else

America is a prank played on humanity by god to ruin our minds

They're right on Biden killing babies, just not the ones Republicans care about.

[–] zifnab25@hexbear.net 16 points 1 year ago

Hell, they're right about that, too if you want to get into how he's further mangled Medicaid and clawed back that child care tax credit from the COVID times.

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 9 points 1 year ago

To be fair republicans dont actually give a shit about those babies either.

sicko-satan Immigrants! yes-hahaha-yes-1yes-hahaha-yes-2

[–] Sickos@hexbear.net 27 points 1 year ago

It's a three pronged attack, subliminal, liminal, and superliminal.

Definitely on the superliminal side of propaganda

[–] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"God is punishing us for having open borders" is one I haven't heard before

[–] renata@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

at this point you can just substitute mike lindellfor jesus and assume that if he is mad about it, so is jesus (according to evangelicals)

[–] emizeko@hexbear.net 17 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I've heard him called Mike Pillow for so long that I had to look up and make sure Lindell was the right guy

soviet-hmm

That's Molag Bal in that bottom billboard isn't it?

American foreign policy aligns well with his spheres, I could totally buy the idea he's secretly running the show.

[–] boiledfrog@hexbear.net 23 points 1 year ago (2 children)

he's the goat

if capital is determined to stop us from trying to make heaven on earth, then who better to rule in hell?

Reminds me of this billboard outside atlanta

[–] MiraculousMM@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They couldn't even take the obvious opportunity to call them DEMONcrats? The pitchfork is right there! Weak ass propaganda game

There used to be a billboard outside of my hometown that advertised a local furniture reseller. It said like "Kitchen furniture, living room" and a guy standing to the side. Under that it said "Support tort reform. End abortion! Jesus is watching!"

It was there like five years and never got vandalized

[–] MiraculousMM@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago

It was there like five years and never got vandalized

sicko-wistful

So while I agree that our national philosophy is more about reigning in hell than serving in heaven Brandon is nowhere near that cool. I'd vote for that guy. I like the cut of his jib

[–] xXthrowawayXx@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nice try, blizzard but I’m not falling for the diablo 4 astroturf campaign.

[–] WIIHAPPYFEW@hexbear.net 17 points 1 year ago

Fuck why can’t I close out of my GTA 4 window

[–] JamesConeZone@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago

change "open borders" to "open air prisons" and run the bottom billboard in Israel

[–] umbrella@lemmy.ml 15 points 1 year ago

Those people exist out there somewhere.

I get some early 17th century vibes every time these people go off on "The Devil." Feels like if society fell on hard times for these people, like during the nadir of the Little Ice Age in Western Europe, they would go straight to burning "witches" again.

[–] joaomarrom@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I'm curious, where the hell did this come from? I'm doing a reverse search because I want to savor this unhinged lunacy a bit more, but I can't find any more info on it

[–] axont@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Just drive in a circle on the outskirts of any major American city and you'll see dozens of these

[–] joaomarrom@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

what a wonderful country

Critical support for the humble roadside McDonalds wagemaster who's being priced out of the highway billboard market by the scraps which fall off of the megachurch's cocaine mirror.

Dang, idk if this new Biden ad campaign will appeal to the median democratic voter, but it's got me on board.

No, he is not because if he were, he would be doing a great job and not this disservice, sending workers' tax money to finance proxy wars around the world just to satisfy the insatiable appetite of greedy lobbyists.
