It’s honestly very difficult to evaluate Shining Path or even find reliable information on them. Were they a ill-disciplined group of dog-hanging Maoists? Or did they, with a handful of impoverished people and fuck all resources, bring a government to its knees and nearly bring about revolution? I don’t know. I’ve actually never read Gonzalo and I will one day when I have the time, but I expect the answer as to the nature of SP will be in there. But I haven’t read it because people who have have told me it’s nonsense. And history shows that when you get ahead of the people and try to impose communism without wide support, it always ends badly even if the revolution succeeds.

I dunno what great points you're referring to, his "theory" is pretty much incoherent garbage the last time I checked (mixed with clumsy restatements of actual theory).
I keep hearing Shining path maoists talk about what he brought to the table and im like sorry but this is just patsoc mao zedong
(boiled babies (not exactly true
Well, they did both those things, but they didn't do them at the same time
They… did babies?
they killed babies
but they didn't boil them
they did torture people with boiling water though
It's funny because unlike all other anti-communist propaganda, the truth is still just as bad
Needs a better name to be a villain. Since I only know Gonzalo as a first name I hear it just like Chairman Steve.
Named like a soup
