tooth fairy (lemmy.ml)

When I was a child I had a revelation; if Santa isn't real then the tooth fairy also isn't real. Then growing up, if the moon landing isn't real then nothing (of the same kind ) we are told is real.

Good thing the moon landing is real then, huh?

This is such an oversimplification. Both are, honestly. Because your parents lied to you, you now thing anything they say is a lie? And now you're trying to apply the same logic to global society?

Let's not even get into what you consider to be a lie, that's another entire Pandora's box.

While I believe the US was capable of faking it and had meetings about faking it, Buzz Aldrin's right cross was the proof I needed of the landing.

The two claims about Santa and the tooth fairy are independent of eachother. Just because one isn't real, doesn't mean the other isn't.

If one god isn't real, doesn't mean they all aren't real. You should learn the basics of logic and fallacies. This is pretty simple stuff.

The Moon landing is definitely real though.
