You ever see someone so attractive you're a little upset? That's how I feel about most of the food posted here. Looks fantastic!

I'm not always big on salmon but this looks pretty great

Damn, that looks great! I bet it would be good with chicken too.

[–] TheOgreChef@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Absolutely! Let me know if you give it a try!

Great idea, I may have to do that tonight. I have the salmon and avocados, although may need to try something other that pico

Can't eat meat. Still salivating.

I think you can easily make the same/similar with a beyond or veggie burger, and I hope you give it a shot😁

Oh it's a gout thing, not a vegan thing. But thanks for being nice!

Is that an english muffin?

Avo McSalmon, Ogre?

[–] TheOgreChef@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

It’s a garlic cheddar roll from a local bakery chain called Great Harvest. Perfect for burgers of any kind, but I have to admit, I like the name Avo McSalmon quite a bit!

How did you make the salmon patty?

Was the salmon overwhelmed by the pico and guacamole?

[–] TheOgreChef@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’ve made them before using the food network recipe, but for this one I used the wild salmon burgers from Wegmans. Personally, I really like to stack flavors and I didn’t think anything really overpowered the salmon taste. It was messy as all hell though.

I just imagine a pork, chicken or turkey patty on this being really great.

[–] TheOgreChef@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

100% agree on all of those. Adding bacon to the chicken patty version would probably blow your socks off.

avocado and salmon? seems like an odd combination
