HYV should just ditch Formosa Group. Aside from the not paying VAs thing, their voice direction is terrible and is responsible for most of the gripes about the voice work in the game (e.g., Paimon's screechy EN voice which is completely unlike the CN version).
Paimon's voice changed a lot. Do the mondstat quests and her voice was much deeper, but when I played through it again, I honestly didn't like the deeper voice and kind of liked her current pitch. There was growing pains with her voice, especially the second half of liyue and the first half of inazuma, but I think her voice settled to something fairly alright.
The other voices are fine except for Klee. Klee is just all around terrible in English. Nothing against the voice actress, I just don't think she pulls off that character archetype. Doesn't have the youth or the energy for it.
The voice cast has also been on point too. They wanted Mittleman(sp?) to do Itto and didn't have anyone else even audition for the role. I can't imagine anyone else as Itto.
I will find this person, chain him to a chair, tape some powerful stereo headphones on his head and leave him there listening "is it another Paimon" in loop forever.
That’s a cardinal sin to deny workers their wages. Shame on Mihoyo.
except hoyo did pay though. the payment went through to the talent agency, and it was them that withheld payment from the VAs
