Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

I've finally downloaded firefox on my phone. I don't know why I did not do it sooner.

Don't forget to install ublock origin as well

[–] decadentrebel@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Privacy Badger and HTTPS Everywhere too.

Privacy badger is not really needed since I've read that ublock is more than enough. HTTPS everywhere is redundant since may setting na sa Firefox that forces websites to use HTTPS if available.

Updated pa ba Privacy Badger at HTTPS Everywhere? Napaka redundant na kasi built-in na ang Tracking Protection at HTTPS option sa Firefox.

uBlock Origin is necessary if you want a healthy, better web, and built-in na ito sa Librewolf (desktop). I only use UB and LanguageTool sa browser ko.

I've installed ublock origin ad-ons but where's the search bar for the ad-ons, I can't find it? I want to install get rid of youtube shorts.

Is that an addon for the desktop version? If so you're out of luck since the mobile version of Firefox has VERY limited add-ons. Basically what you see in the add-ons menu is what you get.

Recent Firefox Mobile updates fcked its background activities like autofilling passwords on a website. It suddenly refreshes the app for no reason.

Temporarily using DDG Browser on my phone.

Recently found a privacy-friendly Chromium browser for Android, called Cromite. Bromite (Android) is dead for like 9 months.

Cromite

[–] ppfdee@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Yan din gamit ko recently, mas prefer ko siya over Brave.

[–] willnever_fadeaway@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

I just use Ungoogled Chromium. It works, but a few pages and extensions do break, hence why I also use Edge. I only use Chrome here at work.
