Taken on a pixel 6, not very high quality just thought it looked nice.

Yes, the Pixel 6 and up have a astrophotography setting. It's really amazing.

Actually, I believe astrophotography was available since the Pixel 3 or 4.

It’s incredible what phones are capable of these days.

Pixel and samsung (to of the line series) are those that I'm aware of.

Is this mode taking real photos or AI enhanced ones that show how the sky could look like?

It's taking real photos of the sky by taking in light for 4 minutes, and then it uses AI to increase contrast and brightness to make it look better.

One of these days I'll get a good shot of the milkyway. I can do 11 minute exposures with my DSLR setup without star trailing (https://p.drkt.eu/2023/11-minute-exposure.jpg) so it's only a matter of the weather lining up in the few months of the year where this is possible. Cool picture
