I think it's a good thing things are (finally) moving against those SUV's. I fail to see what they're for in our cities, let alone the rest of our country.

Hears way too many SUV users complain about the lack of parking spaces or straight up placing half their vehicle on a sidewalk.

Unable to see that those huge SUVs take up way too much space

Our fossil fuel consumption is also at an all time record high, despite EV growing in popularity. It's mostly because a lot of ordinary cars are replaced by SUVs that eat a lot more fuel.

A sad evolution indeed. It's like we learned nothing from the past lockdown with teleworking as the norm. Congestion is on an all time high and even a surge in gas prices won't matter to the average consumer that buys a gas guzzler SUV anyway.

question is more like how to enforce, domicile in city = no suv? what about leased cars or owners who domicile is at countryside? no entry for suv in the city? maybe but when does the city really begin? im not against it if thought out properly

As always, everything is going to be complicated to implement in Brussels. I wish the city wasn't split into communes, it makes little sense imo.
