Playing healer got me laid, then got me married.

No bullshit, I met the woman that became my wife in a rando PUG, with me keeping the group alive during a boss run with no tank. Nobody fucking died, we killed the boss, and they invited me to their guild.

A few weeks later, she and I were becoming good friends via teamspeak. A few months after that the friendship started turning romantic. A little over a year after that, she came for a visit. It was fucking magic, so she moved down permanently a few months after that, and we got married. That was a tad over ten years ago.

Never underestimate the love a squishy archer can have for their healers :)

She plays dps and wears the pants, right?

Healers get all the aggro

I got onto a sponsored LOL team because I was willing to drop DPS and switch to healer. Healers rule.

That's why I mainly play as Support in Overwatch. I keep everyone alive and sometimes also help out on DPS front when my team DPS is braindead.

Occasionally on the regional level.

The one chance we made it to a national level we got the worst seed I have ever seen and the first three teams that we played would go on to be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in the national tournament.

We got destroyed.

Would she marry a doctor though?

[–] Early_To_Risa@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No way. She wants whatever the irl job equivalent of a tank is.

[–] Abucketofpuppies@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago

The tank absorbs most of a company's damage. So she wants a minimum wage customer service worker.

I decide who lives and dies

Her face when he is a doctor

She’s clearly never played Paladins. All healers can be super effective when the enemy doesn’t expect it.

Real chads play Battlesmith!

"What's that about a role gap? I can't hear you over the sound of me being every role compressed into a single smashy smashy package!"
