I just want it to be fun, silly, and a bit camp.
Everything takes itself to seriously these days and Fable never did.
Yeah that's exactly what I want out of a new Fable game: silly campy fun. That's more important to me than graphics.
I get the urge to play 2 and 3 sometimes but there's no way to play them. The first game has so many ways to play it but no love for the others sadly
Both 2 & 3 are on Xbox Game Pass, 3 even has FPS Boost!
Oh dang I had no idea, it would have to be the PC version though since I don't have a current-gen Xbox anymore

What game engine are they using? It's not Unreal Engine?
Believe it or not, they're using the Forza engine!
ForzaTech - the same engine used by the Forza games. Though reports from last year indicate the transition from just racing games hasn't been easy.
I wonder if the devs chose that engine to work on or if it was kind of forced on them.
I remember reading about EA seemingly forcing a lot of their dev studios to use frostbite for a while. Bioware ending up creating ME:Andromeda with it, which was full of jank. Victory games reported a ton of problems with it trying to get it running an RTS (C&C Generals 2) as well and that game ended up getting binned.
Playground Games previously worked on the Forza series so it was probably the one they had the most experience with even if it needed some major tweaks
And Anthem, funny this game seems forgotten lol.
Visuals are great. Great story is better.
The person working on the lighting probably doesn't really care about that
I'd bet they do. It's not their job, or responsibility, sure. But they're pouring how much of their time and effort into this project? Why wouldn't they care about the story?
I couldn't agree more, although I suppose the lighting director probably cares more about the lighting.
Honestly a fable 3 clone with better graphics and a better endgame experience is all I'd ever need
WHAT?! Is this real life?! THE Fable?? Dear Moses I don't know if I can withhold my excitement. Fable 2 was my top, but I liked the first 3. I don't know if I've been this excited about a new video-game since Majora's Mask

Yeah, it's being made by Microsoft, so it'll be on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Yes. In fact I am not aware of a single Xbox published game from the last five years or so that isn't also available on pc

Well, it will be one of the best compliments if the game actually looks like that.
If this is a classic tale of trailer footage looking better than the finished game, that dev is going to have egg on his face.
