For the purposes of this community, "retro" means platforms launched in 2001 and earlier, and games for those platforms released through roughly 2007. This means that the Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and PlayStation 2 are the cutoff consoles.

Taken with my Nikon Coolpix S51 (in pink).

Anbernic RGP35XXSP on the left sporting MuOS. Fits just fine in my original GBA case!

On the right is my Miyoo Mini+ in a 3D printed hard case (from Etsy) running OnionOS.

The Anbernic is quickly becoming my go-to due to the RTC, which makes Pokemon games easier to enjoy. And being able to just flip the lid shut to sleep and power off after ten minutes is very nice. But I still vastly prefer the UI of OnionOS on the MM+.

What's everyone else carrying these days?

My 8yo daughter received a Miyoo Mini + (translucent purple) from Santa this year. The elves must have been following some advice here and upgraded it to OnionOS on a much better SD card. It has soooooo many games that she can't even begin to figure out her favs yet. I do like to borrow it and play some classic Pitfall (Atari 2600). Takes me back to when my dad and I played when I was her age.

Oh man, such a perfect age for it too. Mine is right about the same age and she got one a little over a year ago. Single screen puzzlers like Kwirk and Boxxy Boy have been a hit in my home.

Also, translucent purple is the best color, so Santa has good taste.
