I’m a Herald 4. I’ve been to crusader, and I’ve also been at 1 mmr. I have mostly played dota when I’m drunk/ high/ both. I’ve been going through a lot lately in my personal life- career difficulties and a terrible break up of a 3 year relationship. I have a lot of free time in my hands for the next few months, and I’ve decided I’ll spend it on improving my life, by getting sober, fit and…getting better at dota.

Dota is a game that forces you to introspect. And the introspection ALWAYS pays off if you do it right.

My goal is to reach minimum Ancient rank in the next few months. After 2500 hours, I’m taking it personal lol. I hope it teaches me something about myself and rebuilds my broken life. I’ve started watching streamers for the first time and I can see myself getting better ever since I’ve gotten relatively sober.

I love this game and I follow the pro scene. All the small things in dota that I thought took too much mental energy now feel easier, and I only hope I get better every day.

I want to reframe dota in my head as a representation of personal improvement instead of ToXiC gAmE rUinEd bY tRaSh tEaMmAtEs
