Is there supposed to be a scene between Mystra and Gale? I thought we'd at least see him give her the crown (or not) to conclude his quest. Did I miss something or was it just settled offscreen?

The ending felt a bit abrupt and I would have loved to see some more scenes than the scene on the shores + one scene with Shadowheart (who my Tav romanced) that felt like a rehashed conversation we already had.

When I finished the game gale just decided to take up scuba diving

Yeah, I got that dialogue as well! I guess I was hoping to see what happens between him and Mystra after he finds it.

I think that could be a good dlc.

A bit on what happens to gale, fight vlakkith amung the tears of selûne with lae'zel, blah blah blah

Think the devs have ruled out a post game DLC due to level 13 onwards characters being pretty bonkers. At least, I remember reading about it somehwere.

I mean, the stuff you can do in the game in act 3 is pretty damn crazy, even taking into account that you had a lot of help for a lot of it.

Think a mid-game DLC is the best choice, I think. Not sure where, the game is dense as hell and flows really well. Can't really add another area to Moonrise or the Coast without ✨ludonarrative dissonance✨. Maybe a new district to Baldur's Gate and have a DLC contained within it, with it's completion awarding a new ending option to tie it all back. Dunno.

Yeah it never hurts to dream though

That’s a lot of work on a dlc whose sales would depend on people caring about gale or lae’zel and I thought the stats they were releasing and conversations I’ve seen here led towards people don’t love either character.

A dlc saving Karlach and wyll from being forced to live in avernus might go over better

A dlc where the owl bear cub and scratch get pets might go over better.

True, a pet companion mini dlc would sell well if reasonable in price

My Karlach did not need to go to Avernus. Lives on happily ever after as an Illithid.

I mean that’s a solution but I personally consider that a bad ending since Karlach is dead and now there’s a soulless monster that thinks it’s Karlach in her place

You only get to see their conversation if you choose Gale as your origin character.

There is a surprising number of options for what he does. You can find them all on YouTube, I couldn't be bother playing through as him.

Thanks, this was helpful. Guess I have to play it again with each of the origin characters if I want to see how they fare afterwards!

That’s the best part of Larian games, the replay ability. They are so many different ways to play the game and get different results. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is like that. I must have replayed it 20 times. Each time I discovered something new.

Completely agree. Already started my new save!
