Media owners, CEOs and/or board members
Absolutely. If they were really interested in reducing the damage from drug use they'd be treating it as a social/medical issue rather than criminal. But that costs money up front and prisons are so much easier than actually fixing things
Plus you get a bunch of slave labor!, literally no downsides!
Exactly, and one of my biggest disappointments in this last election and presidency is that nobody is really talking about it. We should be decriminalizing or legalizing marijuana nationally, and decriminalizing possession charges under some amount.
Jail isn't going to fix an addict, what they need is stable housing and well-funded rehab programs for when they decide to get clean.
Almost like that is the entire point
